Adult Workshop Ken Mayernik Sculpture Workshop

Ken Mayernik, renowned western sculptor, will teach this two day workshop. Ken will share his abilities and knowledge to guide students to work with sculpting materials, learn about the elements of art, and principles of design in creating strong sculpture and the creative process from inspiration to sculpture. The class will consist of demonstrations, time for unguided exploration, as well as individual guidance from Ken. 

 

Ken Mayernik was born and raised on a small farm and ranch in Montana. Ken has been artistic since childhood, the outdoors and mountains have been a passion for Ken, and the western way of life has been the focus for his sculpture. After earning a bachelor’s degree in art, Ken taught high school art and worked in a bronze foundry for a short time. Ken lives in Great Falls and has participated in art shows, auctions and venues in the western U.S. and Canada, acquiring collectors from around the world. Ken’s sculptures have won various awards and recognition. Some of Ken’s sculptures can be seen in the C.M. Russell Museum’s Leroy Strand Collection exhibition.
